Klaus’ ritual is a success, believing Elena to be dead and Damon cured from his werewolf bite he leaves town with Stefan and the two go on a “Ripper Binge”. Elena is desperate to return Stefan home but Damon won’t include her in his plans to find him; Damon is pushed even harder when he realises he is not the only one searching for Stefan and Klaus. The high death count that follows their wake have attracted the hunters, Sam and Dean Winchester, so Damon now has to find his brother before the Winchesters do.

Back in Mystic Falls three new mysterious characters have arrived; Klaus’ ritual sent strange energy disturbances through the time vortex attracting The Doctor along with his two companions, the newly married couple, Amy Pond and Rory Williams. However, after an initial look around the town they find that TARDIS unable to work, it’s energy being drained by some mysterious force. So the three are left stranded until they find what is draining the TARDIS, and stop it.
